About TTC
My love for ceramics began in a high school classroom. I tried to avoid most classes during that time, but in ceramics, I wished the class would never end. After two years of working with clay and hoping to continue, I eventually fell into the typical pulls of life—go to college, get a degree, get a job... blah, blah, blah.
Eleven years later, my passion for ceramics, buried deep in my soul, resurfaced in a community college classroom. That reignited passion became Thirst Trap Ceramics—a brand that encapsulates playfulness, practicality, and intrigue. You can be sure that each TTC product contains at least one of these three elements. Wholly unique and individual, this is where my creativity walks.
I hope you enjoy the physical manifestations of my wandering brain.
Why Thirst Trap?
I thought of the name Thirst Trap Ceramics while drinking coffee from a mug I had made. Thirst Trap—my mug was literally trapping my thirst. Vases? Thirst trap for flowers. It just makes sense.
Beyond that, in this world of attention-grabbing minefields we navigate daily, something is always trying to trap our attention. So, let me call it what it is—a thirst trap for art.
The final piece? I make ceramics in my backyard. And since I’m at home, I do it how I’m most comfortable—in as little clothing as possible. And this inevitably, screams THIRST TRAP!
